Living room in a private home
The living room has been converted into playroom for a home-based child
care center.
Walls feature images of animals, flower fields, butterflies, etc.
Mural design
centers around a tree painted on the wall in a corner of the room. Foliage is
made of fabric and soft filler material to allow additional play and
instructional opportunities. At the bottom of the tree trunk a small door hides
a squirrel.
The fireplace can be easily converted to a soft sofa.
Windows feature custom designed curtains with pockets at the bottom for
3D letters and numbers custom designed and created for the project.
All graphic and manufactured components of the room were designed to
double as teaching aids.

dining room
Formal dining room
Formal dining room has been converted into a dining area for the
children.
Windows are covered with light curtains that match the color of the
walls. Soft custom designed toys complete the décor.
Simple design of the mural does not distract children from the meal. The
mural features characters that emulate “children’s doodles”.
The space between windows is decorated with hand-made lace.
